FOOD ASSISTANCE

How Our Food Pantry Works

Florida residents in need of food assistance qualify for groceries. We gather only the information necessary to track services, and while a photo ID is helpful, it is not required. Our volunteers will ask for the name and age of each household member, along with the household address, phone number and a few questions about other services received and household income.

Each household receives non perishable items—such as canned vegetables and fruits, pasta, or rice—as well as fresh fruits and vegetables, frozen meat, bread, fresh milk and other dairy products and additional items as available.

Frequently Asked Questions

Residents of Florida in need of food qualify for assistance.

We collect personal information only for the purposes of tracking our services provided. A photo ID greatly helps with the registration process, but is not required to receive groceries.

Our registration volunteers need to ask for the name and age of each household member, as well as the household address and, if available, the phone number. Several questions about other services received, and income are also part of the registration process.

Each household will receive one bag of food with non-perishable items (canned vegetables and fruits, pasta or rice, etc.) and (as availability allows) dairy, frozen meat, bread, fresh produce, and extra items.

Yes. At each location we provide the same selection of food including non-perishable groceries and (as available) dairy, frozen meat, fresh produce, bread and extra items.

Yes. To ensure a volunteer is available to assist, please call Our Daily Bread Food Pantry’s main telephone number at (239) 259-5188 to schedule an appointment.

We need your neighbor or family member who does not live with you to attend in person for their first food pick so they can complete the registration. Once registered, you can pick up food for that household. The neighbor or family member will need to return in person at least once a year to renew that registration.

You are welcome to register on your first visit to a mobile pantry or an appointment. Please call if you need to make an appointment.
